whaddup my people,
as usual it’s been a minute but you know how it is. trying to get a bunch of things together and failing miserably at all of the above, but at least i’m still alive. anyways, this is supposed to be a good news post so let me keep it short and to the point (like I ever actually do either of the two). if you follow me on twitter or facebook (and if you don’t www.twitter.com/dallie and www.facebook.com/davidallie so get with it) you probably already know that my new cd is out, but I just realized today I hadn’t made any mention of it on my blog so here it is. I am making mention.
i grew up as and i am still a huge fan of “the roots” so i’ve always wanted to release a live cd. also i think the live show is definitely a strength of mind. i am that guy in the studio constantly complaining about how it doesn’t feel or sound as good as when i’m on stage so i guess this is me putting my money where my mouth is (since i am a starving artist that money consists of pennies and nickles. lol. i keep forgetting to stay positive). there are no backing tracks, there weren’t 20 of my boys on stage, and no back up dancers in bikinis (although that one would’ve been nice), but i certainly did not do this alone. will post a thank you to everyone later since i don’t have much time to write. however, if you cop the disc the inside liner notes tell some of the story of who was involved.
Anyways, per usual this is my call for your help. Spread the word that I exist. Hit a brotha with a review. If you know somebody who writes tell them I exist. Download it from iTunes, get the physical from CDBABY, and as always unauthorized duplication is ENCOURAGED.
