Here are the bullet points.

1) me and the homie Dial 81 went out to windsor to do “Minced Meat” with the lovely Emily Copeland

2) we were lucky we did it this sunday because my passport was 2 days away from being expired (all my hoes in international area codes hold tight…daddy will figure something out)

2.1)  I wish I could say something like that without it sounding completely foolish.  how about “all my queens in international scenes keep it tight in the mean and inbetween”.  still failing? alright, then moving on.

3)  I did get pulled into customs once again.  Apparently I will forever be in the Canadian “computer”.

4)  How did I get in the computer you ask?  I’ll answer that in person, but let’s just say I fully lived the intro scene on Ice Cube’s “The Predator” Album which was kind of surreal from a Hip Hop perspective.

5)  I had some wonderful mexican food, but the bug zapper on the patio was a tad off putting and made me value not being a bug.

6)  Emily Copeland loves music and has better taste than you do, and I’m not just saying that because she likes my music.

6.1) Alright….I’m just saying that because she likes my music

7)  Dial81 is a mad man

8)  I hang with Dial so I guess I can’t be too far from that

So I thought today I might write a little blog about one of the many hiccups we had along the way in the making of the above vinyl, but I say “why talk about old problems you solved when you can talk about the new problems that are happening right before your eyes.”  Alright, I don’t say that and neither should you, but in this instance I must put the aforementioned quote into action.

As quickly as we had a date for our release party we lost a date for our release party.  I could scream, shout, yell, and complain, but I feel like I personally know everyone who reads this (and in actuality I probably do in some way, shape, or form and if I don’t let’s change that – holla at a backpacker) and if you know me you know that’s far from my style.

As I had to hit you with a little bit of negative with the news I’m gonna quickly shift to the positive.  We will have a release party sometime this century (gotta start with wider goals before you narrow them down. lol) and it will be dope.  Also I have a new song I recorded last week with the homie Dial 81 (he might kill me for doing this, but I think he’ll understand as we’re about to grab some drinks) and I want to share it with you as I’m in a bit of a jaded mood and need to love music again.  It’s very rough and unfinished, but it’s a bit how I feel about the state music is in right now.  I think music could be served well by being a little more rough and unfinished so here it is.

The Subject Line pretty much says it all but here are some added reasons

1) it’s for a good cause with all proceeds going to Gleaners

3) i’ll be drinking (you might think this is just fun for me, but if you think that you haven’t seen me drink)

4) The Situation is rumored to be there (i know it’s your guilty pleasure too)

5) 2040 will be holding me down on the 1′s and 2′s

6) I’ll be giving away free CD’s and shirts

to sum up it will be a good time for a good cause so get involved.

It is with great urgency that I write you this letter.  In a little under 48 hours time I fly to San Francisco to visit the homie 5 ill of United States of Mind.  He is pictured here.

However, as I looked in my accounts I realize that I am not going to have enough money for recreational activities on this vacation (you know like sightseeing, riding the trolleys, hookers, blow, seeing concerts, dining, more blow, recording time, and bike rentals).  Of course, I could’ve managed my money better by doing less blow and hookers in detroit (there’s no trolley rides here) but it is what it is.  I also shouldn’t have given 50% of my life savings to a midget financial accountant named Dallas (never trust people named after cities) but we are where we are.

Anyways, I will be tending bar at The Bosco this Wednesday (December 2nd)  for our weekly night “Barely Legal Wednesdays” (Yes you read that right….don’t judge us).

i feel like this is not helping my cause

I urge one and all to come out and drink in abundance and tip well.  Let me be honest here.  I actually don’t care if you drink at all as long as you tip well, but my bosses will like you more if you spend some dough. Just kidding in that completely serious sort of way.  In addition to my winning personality and award winning service, DJ Erv will be your soul providah for the evening (that means he provides the soul) and it will also be the lovely Ms. Jackie Barnes’s birthday celebration so come out and say hey to her as well, but most importantly give me money.

If you can’t make it to The Bosco on Wednesday it’s okay.  You can just western union it straight to San Francisco.  Hey if I make enough money on Wednesday I will even share some of the hookers and blow with 5 ill (not necessarily in that order and of course in addition to the trolley rides and sight seeing).  Just because we’re starving artists it doesn’t mean we can’t ball outta control sometimes (actually I think it means exactly that but I’m trying to be the exception to the rule here people.)  If not for me….do it for the hookers.

Oh and I almost forgot.  Before anyone gets all up in arms about this blog and takes this seriously (except for the money part of course) reeeelaaaax.

since I’ve just learned to actually post footage to my blog i figure i’d throw some content from my youtube channel so you can see how i do it visually in addition to my typing skills (or lack thereof depending on opinion).  anyways, here we go.

-This was the show that facilitated my project “Live @ The Get Up”.  I love the live show as you guys know, but the CD is missing the visual aspect so here is some footage from that.  Although I made the Live CD just because I wanted to do a Live CD but look out for some more annoying promotion on it soon and I may try to enlist you in annoying some more people.

Clip 2: Change The Name in Bloomington

-This clip is the last show we did for the Sweat Equity Tour earlier in the year.  Although the quality of the sound isn’t that good in this clip i love the energy that comes across between me and the crowd at this show.  There is something about the last show after you’ve done a string of them.  You know you’ll get a break so you don’t have to protect your voice and don’t have to worry how you’ll physically feel the next day.
